The Coalition’s efforts to improve the safety of our highways go beyond community education and advocacy. We have spent a great deal of time developing relationships with the Provincial Government and various municipal governments that are built on trust, collaboration and a solid understanding of road safety issues.

In particular, we have built a solid relationship with the Minister of Transportation and the Transportation Ministry, where we can have an open and honest dialogue about important road safety issues. This relationship is also mutual where we have been contacted by key stakeholders in Alberta Transportation to provide the Coalition’s and our member’s viewpoint on key issues.
We have also had great success in working with municipal governments to help them develop strategies to successfully table their issues to key government stakeholders.
