Contest Entry “How-To” Guide

✅Contestants must live in the Grande Prairie area.
✅Contestants must be 16 – 19 years of age.

Choose Your Format:
Participants can unleash their creativity by opting to create either a short video (up to 60 seconds), photo or a compelling meme/GIF.

Craft Your Message:
Videos: Participants are encouraged to highlight the perils of distracted driving, specifically texting while driving, in a manner that resonates with their peers. Whether it’s through humour, seriousness, or thought-provoking narratives, the video must be suitable for all ages.

Memes/GIFs: Condensing the message into a visually engaging meme or GIF is key. Entries should effectively communicate the dangers of distracted driving while captivating the audience’s attention.
Content Guidelines:
Originality: All entries must be original creations, reflecting the participant’s unique perspective on the issue.

Safety Emphasis: The primary focus should be on promoting safe driving practices and highlighting the risks associated with distractions while driving.

Respectful Tone: Entries must demonstrate respect for all individuals and be suitable for all ages, please keep it clean and respectful.

Contest Deadline and Review:

  • Contest will run from March 21 – April 26 at 11:59pm MST.
  • Entries will undergo a review by a panel of judges, who will assess them based on creativity, effectiveness in conveying the message, and adherence to content guidelines.
  • The announcement of winners will take place on May 24, 2024, and be communicated through the campaign’s official social media channels and the contest landing page.

All submissions can be used by the Alliance, and our partners, to bring awareness to the dangers of distracted driving.
